The goal : To organise a trip to Chile for a group of 50 people, made up of 25 couples.
The challenge : Ensuring the safety and comfort of the participants, all aged between 55 and 65, paying particular attention to altitude-related risks.
Léon’s response : We recruited a doctor accustomed to difficult terrain, having worked in the army, for whom this trip should have been a walk in the park. Because of the lack of any medical centres close to our route, we took various medical precautions, such as carrying large trunks filled with resuscitation equipment, among other things.
Funny story : the only person who got sick was the doctor himself!
